The cabin in the photograph is Aurum Lodge (property released). Situated far north on the picturesque banks of Abraham Lake in Nordegg, Alberta, Aurum offered me one of the most spectacular displays of the Aurora Borealis I've ever witnessed.
The host, Alan Ernst, and I spent the majority of the night outside in freezing temperatures chasing this G2 storm, and I captured some amazing photos of the elusive green lights that night. I made this photograph just as we were returning to the cabin in the early morning hours. I used my trusty EagTac D25LC2 configured with a Nichia 519A, to gently brush the exterior with some light.
